Leadership

Edgardo B. Favila

President & Chairman

Mr. Ed Favila is a practicing ICT professional for more than 40 years. His ICT career started with the big IBM mainframes in 1979 computerizing mostly engineering applications with the Manila Electric Company (Meralco). For five years, he was also primarily responsible in the automation and computerization of the Philippine Nuclear Power Plant under the auspices of Westinghouse and Meralco/Miescor.

In 1988, he brought into the Philippines CISCO and Synoptics network equipment and was pioneering in the use of AT&T structured cabling. From the time he founded MFL in 1987 until to date, cutting-edge technologies in data, voice, video, security, auxiliary systems and data centers or referred to as electronic low voltage systems were similarly introduced.

Prior to joining Meralco/CIS, he was a science researcher in the University of the Philippines and was also a Technical Officer of the defunct Philippine Parliament.

Our founder is a product of the University of the Philippines in 1976 and undertook some specialty studies from Stanford and Caltech in the early 1990s.

Under his leadership, MFL has grown and evolved from being an ICT systems integrator into a technology constructor, continuously augmenting and improving the company’s business offerings for over 32 years.
